LA Art Show 2023 2023

Someone who saw my work at the art show and really loved it turned out to be an artist who makes neon art. They were having an exhibition nearby with a reception and invited me to come, so I went yesterday. It really was just about four blocks away, a 15-minute walk, and seeing neon art with live jazz playing made for a really lovely atmosphere.

The artist loves Japan, makes works on the theme of the maneki-neko (beckoning cat), and the cats even shoot beams from their eyes, so we totally hit it off haha

It was a shame that nothing sold at this show, the first time in a while... but I made connections like this one, people from Company G came to see it too, which made me really happy, and I feel the experience itself was a good one πŸ™†β€β™‚οΈ

P.S. And the second season starts today β—Ž

ART EXPO NY 2021 2021

I was not able to visit the site. I heard that a few other people who had bought it before told me that it looked more like interior design. It's true!

Also, in all the pictures I've received, the GIF comic display is still set to No input.

I've noticed that "Raspberrypi Zero" isn't enough to keep it running in the exhibition, so I had to get a "3B" or "4B". I'll have to rethink the layout and size of the components :-)

Carpe diem PJ 2021

This is a project for an arm hourglass in "Makuake".

In an age where we can tell the time on our smartphones, the "telling time" function of a watch seems less important. Despite this, luxury watches are not disappearing, and their value is increasing. That's what I was wondering.

Contemporary artist SULEBOX came up with the idea that if the function of knowing the time was replaced by something else, it could still be a fashion icon.

Based on this idea, an hourglass was attached to a wristwatch to create this arm hourglass.

BAMA & ART BUSAN 2021 2021

I exhibited 3 GIF comics at BAMA and 6 GIF comics at ART BUSAN this time, and sold one of them.

I think I'd like to go there soon, and I wonder if I can make it to the next art fair :-)

"OUR EGGSHELL" is SULEBOX Solo Exhibition in NY 2014

I went to Brooklyn in NY for holding my solo exhibition.

It was very cold and snowy this week, but many people came to the exhibition at the Ouchi Gallery.

At the opening party, I drew many portraits of the guests, and everyone was very happy.

1. Painting: A picture that has been painted.

2. Drawing: A picture made using a pencil or pen rather than paint.
